Ardence, a Citrix Company, announces the release of a new version of RTX® (Real-Time Extension,) the market-leading, real-time extension for Windows® and application software development tool suite. RTX 8.0 supplements existing RTX functionality by supporting Microsoft's latest operating system, Windows Vista and Windows Vista For Embedded systems.
RTX V8.0 Feature Enhancements and Updates
RTX 8.0 includes:
- Support for Windows Vista on Single Processor and Multiprocessor(MP) systems as MP Dedicated.
- Added support for Windows 2003 SP2 for MP dedicated.
- New RT-TCPIP utilities, including:
- RtssArp displays and modifies the IP-to-Physical address translation tables used by the address resolution protocol (ARP).
- RtssIpConfig displays the local computer’s current network configuration.
- RtssPing sends ICMP Echo or ICMPv6 Echo request messages to assist you in performing network diagnostics and to test the ability to reach a specific destination.
- RtssRoute displays and manipulates network routing tables.
- Improvements to RT-TCPIP
- Support for zero copy MAC filter drivers.
- The Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) table’s cache size is now configurable.
- The Rt82543gc driver supports the use of location information.
- Subnetting is now allowed for the IPv6 address.
- Two new controllers are supported: 82571 Intel Gigabit Ethernet Controller and DP83816 National semiconductor 10/100 Mb/s Ethernet Controller.
